Hiring Davey for our wedding was hands down one of the best decisions my husband and I made in the planning process. I knew I wanted a videographer from the start and I put a great deal of emphasis on finding someone who would be able to capture the memories as well as all of the feelings on this incredible day in our lives. Davey absolutely blew any expectations I had out of the water and then some. He made both of us feel so comfortable throughout the wedding day, worked seamlessly with our photographer and delivered quite possibly the best wedding video we could have ever imagined. He is kind and clearly so very talented. He was able to show case the highlights of the day and the people so special to us, meanwhile capturing the spirit of the day and for that we could never find the words to explain how grateful we are for him. Davey is incredibly talented. He listened to our preferences and absolutely nailed it. He was incredibly professional and you can tell how passionate he is about his work. I really appreciated that he sent us a very thorough survey ahead of our wedding to help him get the full scope of our taste, preferences, and style. I only had a couple of minor edits to request to the final highlight. Many of my other vendors spoke so highly of him as well and validated I chose the best videographer in the Lake Tahoe area. People have been completely blown away by our teaser and final highlight video! If you've found Davey, your videographer search is over. If you're on the fence about having a videographer, do what you can to book one, and book Davey. It is 100% worth the investment, and after the wedding you will only regret not booking one. Pictures can only share so much of the memories, but video footage allows you to relive them in live action. We recently got married in October of 2021 in Lake Tahoe. Our wedding planner Sharae had sent us a few videographers to look over, and we are beyond thrilled that we picked Davey to work with. His work truly speaks for itself! He is one talented person!
We were just blown away by the wedding highlight reel he put together for us of our special day. Even our family and friends often bring it up, mentioning how they can’t watch it without shedding happy tears.
We loved that Davey captured some amazing drone footage of the area, and truly chose moments to showcase that were so special to each of us. He even included some beautiful footage of traditions we incorporated, which really warmed our hearts. I’m tearing up about it just writing this review for him.
Not only was his work amazing, HE was so great to work with! He was so personable, and felt like an old friend. He really helped us feel comfortable being filmed, our wedding party included. Davey's work is far behind your standing wedding highlights recap - each video tells a story. When our day arrived and we finally got to meet, it was like seeing an old friend. Everyone felt so comfortable around Davey. Through a 12 hour day, he was so engaged and enthusiastic. Every time I looked over, he had this huge smile on his face like he was genuinely happy to be there.
I couldn't believe how many incredible moments he captured yet it NEVER felt like he was in our faces too much or in the way. I will forever be grateful to have these moments captured - the way my husband's face lit up when he saw me in my dress, the way his grandmother beamed with joy, the dance my mom and I did down the aisle after realizing the violinist was playing the wrong song... all moments that couldn't fully be captured through photography alone. This is the videographer every couple needs to hire for their big day! Davey Hibler is a true visionary, professional and the best of the best in his craft of videography. My husband and I were truly moved by his ability to capture our day, the emotions, and the mood in the highlight video. Each time we watch our video it allows us to relive the day bringing nothing but tears and smiles to our faces. Other items to note, Davey is extremely reliable and he always was fast to respond to our questions. Also, the pre-wedding questionnaire he provided was very helpful! He just adds the perfect touch to his wedding videos and the music and flow of them are unbelievable. He has me tearing up at peoples wedding videos that I don’t even know. Choosing Davey as our wedding videographer was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I looked at a handful of wedding videographers, but I didn’t see anything I liked. When I came across one of Davey’s wedding videos on Facebook, I knew I needed to hire him. I found Davey to be punctual, organized and was so easy to work with day of. I was a little worried about having someone video tape me on my wedding day I barely noticed him throughout the evening. Davey sent us a 1-minute teaser video a week after our wedding and then delivered our video before his deadline. Davey delivered a wedding video that far exceed my expectations. He has amazing video skills and he really knows how to tell a wedding story in 5-7 minutes. I could not recommend Davey enough! He has so much talent, you won’t regret it!
